ABOUT ME

An Australian who has been based in Singapore since 2010, I've worked at the intersection of digital media, marketing, and technology for more than twenty years. With a deep comprehension of digital, content marketing, social leadership, advertising, marketing technology, customer and employee experience, I'm hugely passionate about the opportunity to drive growth through business transformation.
My foundation learning years in the digital space were spent at CBS Interactive, from 1999-2014, first leading Australia and then moving to Singapore as Vice President, Asia Pacific. This experience building a digital business throughout the pivotal dot.com era, where everything was new and change was constant gave me ample opportunity to learn how to scale and grow, to test, learn, adapt, keep or kill and to lead and develop talent into emerging or redefined roles and responsibilities.
From there, as a consultant and adviser, I explored advertising technology, social networks and influencer marketing. I helped a number of businesses looking to establish in Asia, and others who wanted to reinvent to become more digital and customer-centric. I held board advisory positions to start-ups looking to scale into the Asia Pacific region.
Recognising customer experience as the growth engine for modern business, I then joined Oracle to deepen my knowledge of the software tools available to business to enable smarter customer and employee experiences. Throughout this period, I spent time with businesses headquartered in most of the regions transforming digital economies - India, Vietnam, Indonesia, Thailand, The Philippines, Malaysia, Sri Lanka and Singapore. I observed how traditional business was reacting to the influx of VC-funded super apps while the global forces of GAFATA invest heavily to increase their local reach.
In 2019, I joined the property industry to execute against the learnings of the previous few years. In my role, I built an APAC centre of excellence and layer of influence focused on strategically aligning sales and marketing, scaling beyond the traditional physical go-to-market of traditional real estate sellers. I focused on rejecting the "same same" culture while challenging the business to think and act differently. I also invested heavily in learning about the built environment and the role property plays in the reinvention of how we work, live, shop and play.
In 2021, I was offered my dream role, leveraging my expertise as generalist and servant leader and re-joined the technology industry as Chief of Staff for Asia Pacific and Japan. This has exposed me to technologies available to businesses to accelerate growth while delivering efficiencies and reducing risk.
I have founded two projects aligned to my passion in paying it forward and achieving equality in the workplace - #ladybadassery and SWIMMA (Singapore Women in Media, Marketing and Advertising) and I strive to keep learning through industry engagement and events participation.
